Jayda Medina
Software Engineer
I’m a software engineer at The Walt Disney Company, previously working with ESPN and currently working with National Geographic. In 2021, I received my BA in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. Software engineering is my craft, and I seek out every opportunity that I can to practice. When I’m not working, I am playing Magic the Gathering or participating in Live Action Roleplay. I have experience with making websites from the ground up, as well as using tools like WordPress or Umbraco. I also have working knowledge of app development using Android Studio and Kotlin. I love learning about new tools for development and making the web more accessible.

Projects
Strong Jugglers' Website
A campus organization's website. Talks about the organization and offers a calendar and a form for contact. I designed and developed the website from the ground up, and I'm currently managing it.
Campus Times' DPS Micro Website
This website is a micro site for the Campus Times. It has a timeline of events involving DPS and wanting to arm officers at the University of Rochester. I've leveraged YouTube's embedded technology to showcase a YouTube video created by the Campus Times about Public Safety.
NOAA Doublecross Antenna Website
This website was created for Brickhacks 2019 to showcase satellite images and the process used to obtain them. I did the site development and helped collect information from the satellite, and Serena Flint made the antenna, then resampled and decoded the WAV files from the satellite to get the satellite images.
